Katharina Wohlfarth is at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI/ Karlsruhe in the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Markets since 2013. Her work focus is on evaluation of field studies, acceptance and multiple impacts of changes in the energy system. In her interdisciplinary dissertation at the University of Utrecht she dealt with practical, behavioral and technical issues regarding energy efficiency and load management in companies.
She studied psychology, business economics and physics at the University of Freiburg. She did her diploma thesis at the Energy and Communication Technologies Research Group on energy efficiency by smart metering, where she afterwards worked as market researcher on new energy products and services, efficiency studies and intelligent energy measurement. From 2011, she was responsible for the division of market and impact research.
