Christoph Blaschke is serving as Energy Efficiency Manager at B.E.M. Berliner Energiemanagement GmbH with a focus on sector coupling and digitalization. B.E.M. is a 100% subsidiary of BIM, the state-owned managing entity for Berlin public real estate, and responsible for the implementation of a major investment program for the energetic modernization of public buildings. Christoph has in-depth experience in innovative procurement processes and contractual arrangements for energy efficiency and renewable energy investments. He has long-standing expertise in technical system simulation of solar photovoltaic, storage and microgrid systems and holds a master in Engineering and Business Administration with a specialization in energy and resource management from Technical University Berlin. Before joining B.E.M. he developed and supervised climate action programs and projects in different energy and climate governance entities, i.a. for Berlin Energy Agency, German Development Cooperation and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
