Bettina Dorendorf has long time experience of working experience in the private financial sector (focus on capital market products and securitization) and public financial sector (focus on finance for energy efficiency).
She joined KfW in 2005 to support setting up risk management processes for structured credit investments.
During the banking crisis in 2008 / 2009 she was seconded by KfW to the Federal Ministry of Finance to support the ministry with securitization know how.
After that she focused on the promotional product development of KfW with a focus on energy efficiency.
With this experience she was seconded to the European Commission, DG Energy, in 2014 and 2015 to set up the work of a European wide expert group, the Energy Efficiency Financial Institutions Group (EEFIG) which has become an important source of advice for DG ENER in relation to energy efficiency policy making.
Currently, she is working as senior sustainability manager (“Prokuristin”/VP) in charge of KfW´s domestic promotional business, covering inter alia sustainable finance as a topic.
She is a member of ECEEE, acting as panel leader in 2016 and 2018.
She is author of numerous articles, the latest on the EU Taxonomy (ECEEE 2020).
